Common Solar Installations

Grid Connect

Mostly Residential

Ideal for residential homes to reduce electricity bills. Harvest free solar energy and sell it back to the grid.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Solar Panels
  • Inverters
  • Mounting systems
  • DC Isolator switch
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

During daylight hours a grid connected solar system will power your home or business from electricity harvested from the sun. Grid connect is simply buying power when you need it and selling it back when you produce more than you use.

When your electricity demand is less than what your solar system is producing, your inverter will automatically feed the excess power back into the mains grid. At night times, when your electricity demands exceed your solar system production, you will automatically import power from the mains grid.

Hybrid Solar

Residential, Rural & Commercial

Save on electricity bills and supply your own power, even during blackouts. Produce on-demand battery power from your solar array. Ideal for homes, businesses, or rural locations.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Panels
  • Inverter
  • Controller
  • Batteries
  • Cabling
  • Generator
  • Isolators
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

A hybrid system is a grid-connected solar system with battery storage capabilities. During daylight hours, a hybrid grid-connected solar system will power your home or business from electricity harvested from the sun.

When your electricity demand is less than what your solar system is generating, your inverter will automatically feed the excess power back into battery storage. Power can be drawn at night, during black outs and long periods of cloud cover or no sun, from the stored energy in the batteries. Our hybrid systems even offer additional input sources to link to wind power and generators.

Off-Grid Solar

Commercial and Rural

Produce endless power silently, cleanly, and cheaply. Commercial and off-grid solutions available.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Panels
  • Inverters
  • Mounting system
  • Master controller
  • Batteries
  • Generator
  • Isolators
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

Off-grid stand-alone systems are designed to deliver power throughout the day and night with battery storage capabilities. Off-grid solar systems are sometimes the only solution for homeowners and businesses that do not have access to an electrical grid.

This system works by storing the solar energy into a bank of high-quality Trojan batteries. The stored energy is then sent to an inverter that converts the energy from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The inverter sends that AC electricity to the breaker box in your home, which provides the electricity to power your household outlets, lights, and appliances.

Here’s what our clients have to say

  • "There was no pressure"

From the first contact we found the information they provided us was factual, and there was no pressure to enter into a commitment to proceed with our Solar Panel installation. When we did decide to invest in the Solar power installation all that was promised was delivered in a timely manner and there were no delays other than those that were out of Allied Group’s control. We are proud to display Allied's sign on the corner post of our property in Tasmania in order to assist them in promoting their excellent solar product and other services and would also have no hesitation in recommending their services to other prospective customers & friends looking to install solar to their homes.

    Stuart & Janina MacAulay

  • Excellent job, no mess left

"Had Solar power installed today. Excellent job, no mess left. Everything was well explained to us before installation."

    Hanna Stewart

  • Sincere and ethical service

"I wasn’t particularly impressed with the representatives from [other solar] companies, particularly with regard to the lack of information about the types of solar panels and how they work. But Adrian came to give me a quote, and took care to explain, in detail, what I should know about solar panels. While I had done some research, I certainly learnt a lot more from Adrian. I had a sense that Adrian was sincere and ethical and I was comfortable when I made the decision to go with the Allied Group to install the panels."

    Vicki

  • "Our overall experiencewith Allied was great!"

"We had Allied come out and restore our roof and install solar panels last week. The consultant, Troy, was friendly, knowledgeable, very personable and helpful. The guys who restored the roof and the ones who fitted the solar panels were also great, friendly and efficient."

    Lauren Vanessa

  • So different from other companies I have dealt with.

"The [solar] panels were installed no problem and they pump out power even on the dullest days. I left everything in their hands and this meant I had no phoning around everything was done for me. I cannot recommend them more highly."

    Patricia Hill

  • Very satisfied!

"Our experience with Allied Group has been a very professional and pleasant one. They were well informed and confident about the promoted product and able to satisfy any of our queries with a simple explanation. His manner was most pleasant and respectful, which left us looking forward to the next step of the process."

Imagine a source of pure, powerful, clean and never-ending energy that you can claim for yourself.

See? When we put it that way, the sun becomes a consumer’s best friend! But many people aren’t sure how solar energy works. It’s actually very simple …

Solar power explained:

1. Install a solar system on your roof and harvest the sun’s free energy.

2. Your solar panels will convert sunlight into DC (‘Direct Current’) electricity.

3. The DC electricity flows to an inverter.

4. The inverter converts the DC into AC (‘Alternating Power’), which is the electricity you use to power all your lights and appliances.

5. During sunlight hours, your household can run entirely on solar power. Anything that you don’t use gets sold to the grid.

And voilà! YOU save money while powering your property with FREE energy from the sun.
