Common Solar Installations

Grid Connect

Mostly Residential

Ideal for residential homes to reduce electricity bills. Harvest free solar energy and sell it back to the grid.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Solar Panels
  • Inverters
  • Mounting systems
  • DC Isolator switch
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

During daylight hours a grid connected solar system will power your home or business from electricity harvested from the sun. Grid connect is simply buying power when you need it and selling it back when you produce more than you use.

When your electricity demand is less than what your solar system is producing, your inverter will automatically feed the excess power back into the mains grid. At night times, when your electricity demands exceed your solar system production, you will automatically import power from the mains grid.

Hybrid Solar

Residential, Rural & Commercial

Save on electricity bills and supply your own power, even during blackouts. Produce on-demand battery power from your solar array. Ideal for homes, businesses, or rural locations.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Panels
  • Inverter
  • Controller
  • Batteries
  • Cabling
  • Generator
  • Isolators
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

A hybrid system is a grid-connected solar system with battery storage capabilities. During daylight hours, a hybrid grid-connected solar system will power your home or business from electricity harvested from the sun.

When your electricity demand is less than what your solar system is generating, your inverter will automatically feed the excess power back into battery storage. Power can be drawn at night, during black outs and long periods of cloud cover or no sun, from the stored energy in the batteries. Our hybrid systems even offer additional input sources to link to wind power and generators.

Off-Grid Solar

Commercial and Rural

Produce endless power silently, cleanly, and cheaply. Commercial and off-grid solutions available.

  • Grid Connected Solar Components
  • Panels
  • Inverters
  • Mounting system
  • Master controller
  • Batteries
  • Generator
  • Isolators
  • Cabling
  • Conduits

Additional Information

Off-grid stand-alone systems are designed to deliver power throughout the day and night with battery storage capabilities. Off-grid solar systems are sometimes the only solution for homeowners and businesses that do not have access to an electrical grid.

This system works by storing the solar energy into a bank of high-quality Trojan batteries. The stored energy is then sent to an inverter that converts the energy from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The inverter sends that AC electricity to the breaker box in your home, which provides the electricity to power your household outlets, lights, and appliances.

Here’s what our clients have to say

  • "I was extremely impressed by the prompt service I received"

"I was extremely impressed by the prompt service I received in regards to our Solar Panels. The Allied Solar representative turned up on time did the work. Contacted the electricity company for us. This was absolutely painless. Allied even changed the bracket colour to match our roof so it was not an eyesore. The aesthetics worked well.

    Julie Hynard

  • "Allied have done right by us"

I am more than happy to pass the benefit on to others. To begin with, Allied is Australian owned and operated with solid background in the building industry and was recommended to us by word of mouth, as a reliable company, so our trust was hopeful and I can now say it is confirmed. We have a quality product installed at a good price and it is delivering what was promised. Richard came to our home at our convenience (on a Sunday) and spent several hours explaining the many aspects specific to our needs and simplifying the technical points. All options were presented with no pushy bias and no sugar coating of pro’s or cons.

    Marie Bell & Mick Kelly

  • Highly recommended.

"The installers of the panels and inverter system worked in a most professional and careful manner, explaining the way the system worked before finishing. They left the property and the roof area in the same condition as they found it."

    Neil and Margaret

  • "Allied have done right by us"

We felt confident in the choice we made and the work was duly done as negotiated. I’d have to say Allied deliver on their promise and that is good quality and service from concept to delivery. Thanks so much, guys, looking forward to air conditioning this Summer without the crippling bills! Go Solar!

    Marie Bell & Mick Kelly

  • "So happy we chose Allied to install our solar."

"We had quotes from 3 other businesses prior to receiving a call from Allied & I can not recommend them enough. From their first initial call to the sales rep to installation, nothing was a problem & everything was explained in laymen terms. Great job to all the staff with Allied, thank you.

    Kim Bray

  • We can not recommend allied enough

"We have just had solar panels installed and from our first phone call through to our installer we can not recommend Allied enough. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience."

    Marcia Kemp

Imagine a source of pure, powerful, clean and never-ending energy that you can claim for yourself.

See? When we put it that way, the sun becomes a consumer’s best friend! But many people aren’t sure how solar energy works. It’s actually very simple …

Solar power explained:

1. Install a solar system on your roof and harvest the sun’s free energy.

2. Your solar panels will convert sunlight into DC (‘Direct Current’) electricity.

3. The DC electricity flows to an inverter.

4. The inverter converts the DC into AC (‘Alternating Power’), which is the electricity you use to power all your lights and appliances.

5. During sunlight hours, your household can run entirely on solar power. Anything that you don’t use gets sold to the grid.

And voilà! YOU save money while powering your property with FREE energy from the sun.
